These Shade Holders, Tripod Style Holders, Shade Banding, Shade Crowns, and Prism Bands allow the use of glass lamp shades and lamp prisms or lamp crystals with kerosene lamps or kerosene style (electrified) table and hanging lamps. The lamp shade helps to "tame" the light and gives the lamp a much more practical and aesthetic appeal. The lamp prisms or lamp crystals are the "icing on the cake" for fancier library lamps and banquet lamps
