Our company started out in the 1950s when many rural areas of the U.S. were first being supplied with electricity. Rather than throw away their nice old kerosene lamps, people wanted to convert their oil burning lamps to eletricity. Our first product was the No. 2 electric adapter which remains a regular stock item to this day.
